Ah, the sweet summer sounds at Red Rocks included the Tedeschi Trucks Band. The band returned to the historic venue for a weekend stint. The rain came earlier in the day, and everything seemed a little greener and a little brighter by early evening.
From the first song, Woman to Woman, Tedeschi Trucks Band had the fired-up crowd in the palms of their hands and kept things grooving with the next song, Playing With My Emotions. Other songs included Ain’t That Something, Life is Crazy, Voodoo Woman, and Keep on Smilin’.
Tedeschi Trucks Band had Susan Tedeschi on guitar and vocals, Derek Trucks on blazing guitar, Gabe Dixon on keys and vocals, Brandon Boone on bass, Tyler Greenwell on drums and percussion, Isaac Eady on drums and percussion, Mike Mattison on guitar and vocals, Mark Rivers on vocals, Alecia Chakour on vocals, Kebbi Williams on saxophone, Ephraim Owens on trumpet, and Elizabeth Lea sliding that trombone.
TTB also played Take Me as I Am, Last Night in the Rain, Pasaquan, Part of Me, I Walk on Guilded Splinters, I Am the Moon, Stay With Me, Made Up Mind, and Just Won’t Burn.
