
Hailing from Burgin, Kentucky, Dillon Carmichael returned to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Playing a heaping helping from his latest release, Keepin’ Country Alive, Carmichael engaged fans with songs such as Raised Up Wrong, She Gone, Home, and the title track, Keepin’ Country Alive.

Zach Neil and his band out of Nashville, mixed in original music and solid covers to warm up the vocal cords of the growing crowd.
Neil, supported by Miles Waldman on bass, Sam Hunt on guitar, and Kurt Olson on drums, entertained listeners with the opening song Makeup and Faded Blue Jeans, and Check Yes or No before hitting onlookers with an original tune, When She Drinks Whiskey. Neil and his band played Tougher Than the Rest, Dance Her Home, Long Haired Country Boy, Troubadour, and Past the Point of Rescue, and shared more original tunes, including ‘Til the Numbers Run Out, Long Live the Cowboy, Something in the Stars, What Cowgirls Do, and Half Bad.
