New Music from Joseph of Mercury, Knox Hamilton, Dan Black
Earmilk has said that Joseph of Mercury’s voice “carries beautiful against timeless live instrumentation. In a world of disposable music, Joseph’s sound harkens back to artists who aimed to craft a sound that would never age.” Noisey agreed, showing their support of the Toronto based solo artist. His new single, “Without Words” is the first of three new singles coming in 2017. You can hear “Without Words,” which is set to premiere on Paste on 2/22 here: https://soundcloud.com/wednesdaymgmt/wow-mstr/s-TGIBr
Knox Hamilton have quickly built a frenzy around their debut full length The Heights, which is set for 3/10 release. Katy Perry twittered about their first single, “Washed Up Together” (which has cleared 2 million streams), while The Beach Boys raved about Knox’s cover of “The Man With All The Toys.” Consequence of Sound called The Heights “an album of arena-ready, pop-rock reminiscent of bands such as Coldplay and Vampire Weekend, loaded with sugary bombast, and perfect for fist pumping singalongs.” You can find the third single from the album, “Pretty Way To Fight,” which will be out 2/24 here: https://soundcloud.com/knoxhamiltonband/pretty-way-to-fight/s-sPu4L

Dan Black will be releasing the video for “Headphones” on 3/3. You might remember Black from his 2009 single “Symphonies” which featured Kid Cudi. The new track “Headphones” features Black’s first official music since his debut release UN and serves as the first single from his forthcoming full length, due in May.
