Cage The Elephant opened for The Strokes at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee on Friday, July 17, 2026. From the moment the Kentucky rock band took the stage, they commanded the attention of a packed crowd with an explosive performance that blended raw emotion and infectious energy delivering a wild and perfect sounding set. The two-time Grammy-winning alternative/indie band released a new track, “Beaches in Tennessee” the same day.

“Beaches In Tennessee” received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic reaction from the audience in Milwaukee.  The brand new track was a giant sing along moment.  While the band hasn’t announced a full new album just yet, this track is their first new music following their 2024 record, Neon Pill.  The new song seems to be opening a new creative chapter for the band.

Frontman Matt Shultz moved across the vast stage with an intensity that never let up. His charismatic energy and vertical leap drew fans into every song. Every member contributed to the performance that felt simultaneously polished and spontaneous. Cage the Elephant transformed each song into a shared experience, feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm.

Cage the Elephant headlined the third and final day of the Outside Days Festival in downtown Denver, Colorado, on May 31, 2026.  Currently they do not have Colorado performances on the near horizon, but when they do, I highly recommend tickets to dance in the rain of their captivating music and positive vibes.

The Kentucky-bred six-piece lean on their enduring and long-term bond as both friends and musicians. They received two GRAMMY Awards in the category of “Best Rock Album” for both Tell Me I’m Pretty in 2015 and Social Cues in 2019. Their songs have also surged through popular culture as “Cigarette Daydreams” graced the soundtrack of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 blockbuster video game, “Goodbye” appeared in The Summer I Turned Pretty, and “Trouble” was featured in a global campaign for Amazon Prime.
