Numerous cowboy events were in the Denver area due to the National Western Stock Show (nationalwestern.com). The Grizzly Rose was the epicenter of Cowboy Country on Friday night. Hailing from the Cowboy State of Wyoming, singer-songwriter Ned LeDoux returned to the Grizzly Rose.
The singing cowboy played an extended list of Powder River Records releases from Safe Haven (2025), Buckskin (2022), Next In Line (2019), and Sagebrush (2017). LeDoux started with Never Change. Then he sang Cowboy Life and included songs and tributes to his late father, country-music star and rodeo legend Chris LeDoux. Ned’s rendition of one of Chris’s first songs ever recorded, Bareback Jack, left the audience in awe. LeDoux also included Western Skies and Tougher Than the Rest, among others. LeDoux’s son stole the show when he took the stage on a couple of songs throughout the night. Find the full setlist below. David Kurrasch supported LeDoux on steel guitar, Mark Sissel on lead guitar and vocals, K.W. Turnbow on drums, and Lane Turner on bass.

Arizona’s Desert Country Music’s Best Group, Nathan Dean & The Damn Band, from Phoenix, showcased their original music and a diverse range of covers.
Running with no setlist, Nathan Dean & The Damn Band incorporated good-timin’ anthems and drinking songs. NDATDB started with their own song, Cheap Liquor, then Check Yes or No, I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink, Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way, before another original tune, That’s My Kind of Bar.
They kept the party going with originals Son of a Gun and One More Bender, and more solid covers of I Lose Control, How was I to Know, Chattahoochee, ‘Til You Can’t, Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incidence), Shouldn’ve Been a Cowboy, Folsom Prison Blues, and a mix of Louisiana Saturday Night and Fishing in the Dark to close out the set.
Arizona’s Desert Country Music’s Best Male Vocalist, Nathan Dean, on guitar and vocals, was supported by Wild Bill Bogan on drums and backing vocals, Ty Thompson on guitar and vocals, and Chris Duke on bass.
