
The National Western Stock Show just started, and the country music is flowing at The Grizzly Rose as Charlie Worsham hit the stage on Saturday night. Hailing from Mississippi and now out of Nashville, Worsham is the 2024 Country Music Association Musician of the Year.
Backed by Aaron Tudon on guitar and vocals, Matt Utteback on bass, and Josh Valkenburg on drums, Worsham captured onlookers with songs such as Powers That Be, Could It Be, Things I Can’t Control, and Rubberband. He also put together a medley of recognizable songs in which he played a part: Like Jesus Does, Drunk on a Plane, Watermelon Moonshine, and Going Going Gone. Brandon Jones Band started the night with songs about Jones’ home in South Dakota and his life, warming the electrified crowd up with a set of original songs that included 14 x 80, Party, Into My Arms, Kiss Me All Night, Forever Yours, Picture, Change My Love, and Black Hill Back Roads. Jones also had solid covers of Dead Man’s Curve, Driving My Life Away, and Runnin’ Down a Dream.
Brandon Jones Band had Brandon Jones on vocals and guitar, The Outlaw Kody Koistinen on guitar, Riley Snyder on guitar, Blake Jones on bass, and Isaac Sheets on drums.
