Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness
Wednesday, July 23
Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Veteran indie-pop singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon is bringing his esteemed career catalog to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday, July 23rd for one very special sold-out event. Three Pianos: An Evening with Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, named after McMahon’s memoir Three Pianos, will mark the first time all three of his beloved bands – Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness – will perform on the same bill on one night. It will also mark the first time McMahon headlines the famed Colorado venue.
McMahon and his Jack’s Mannequin bandmates have reunited this year to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. The MFEO Tour just wrapped its first leg, selling out nightly. Following their appearance at Red Rocks in July, the acclaimed alternative pop rock group will head overseas to Japan and Australia and then return for the second leg of The MFEO Tour in October and November. In 2024, McMahon’s first band Something Corporate reunited for their completely sold-out and highly acclaimed Out Of Office Tour. The outing represented the first tour from all five original band members of the beloved early 2000s rock band in over 20 years and saw the return of new music from Something Corporate in over 20 decades with their singles “Happy” and “Death Grip.” Under his current moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, McMahon released his fourth studio album, Tilt At The Wind No More, in 2023, which features the singles “Stars,” “Skywriting” and “Smoke & Ribbons.”
About Something Corporate:
Something Corporate – Andrew McMahon (vocals, piano), Josh Partington (guitar), Kevin “Clutch” Page (bass), Brian Ireland (drums), and William Tell (guitar) – first formed in 1998 when its members were in high school and in a short period of time created quite the stir before going on hiatus in 2005. During its tenure, the highly adored SoCal band released multiple albums, including their major label debut, Leaving Through The Window, in 2002 via MCA Records/Drive-Thru Records, which premiered at the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, and 2003’s North, which entered the Billboard 200 at #24. In its heyday, the band toured extensively worldwide, including a summer on the Vans Warped Tour, graced the cover of Alternative Press magazine, and performed on late-night TV including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The five original members of the Orange County, CA band reunited in 2023 for main stage performances at the When We Were Young festival and three sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and Anaheim, marking their first official shows together in over two decades. Those shows and the quintet’s 2024 sold-out reunion Out Of Office Tour featured McMahon performing on a one-of-a-kind upright piano fully wrapped in Christie MicroTiles LED displaying images and lyrics from throughout the band’s catalog. 2024 also saw the return of new music from Something Corporate with their first releases in over 20 years via the singles “Happy” and “Death Grip” (Big Loud Rock). Collectively, Something Corporate – hailed as “one of the most respected groups in the scene with their incredible hooks and emotionally transparent music” (Alternative Press) – has sold over 1 million total records.

About Jack’s Mannequin:
In 2005, Andrew McMahon launched his more personal solo project Jack’s Mannequin following the success of Something Corporate. The beloved alternative rock quartet – McMahon (vocals, piano), Bobby “Raw” Anderson (guitar), Jay McMillan (drums) and Mikey Wagner (bass, keys) – debuted with their Gold-certified album, Everything In Transit, which includes the Gold-certified single “Dark Blue.” Jack’s Mannequin released a total of three acclaimed studio albums, with both their sophomore LP The Glass Passenger (2008) and third and final album People and Things (2011) entering the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. During its tenure, Jack’s Mannequin also performed multiple times on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, received major media support, and were featured in the hit TV series One Tree Hill. Throughout the recording and release of Everything In Transit, McMahon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 22. After making a full recovery following a stem cell transplant from his sister, Andrew founded the Dear Jack Foundation in 2006, a nonprofit which provides impactful programming that directly benefits adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer in order to improve quality of life and create positive health outcomes from treatment to survivorship for patients and their families. Though Jack’s Mannequin officially went on hiatus in 2012, leading to McMahon launching his current moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness in 2014, the highly adored SoCal band has reunited on a handful of special occasions over the years.
