After performing last weekend at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk in Fort Worth, TX, Mike Ryan and his band came to the World-Famous Grizzly Rose, arguably the World’s Best Honky Tonk, on Friday night.

Out of San Antonio, Texas, Ryan played an extended set list that featured songs from his 2022 release Longcut (iTunes). Those songs included the opening song, Die Runnin’, Longcut, Jacket On, All My Songs, Won’t Slow Down, Loser, Can Down, Forgiveness and Rain, Get Away with Anything, and Way It Goes. Fans were excited to hear his new music. He mixed in other songs such as Blink and You’ll Miss It, Dancing All Around It, New Hometown, Damn Good Goodbye, and Other Side of the Radio. Find the full setlist in the photos below.

In support of Mike Ryan was Jerry Reynolds on fiddle, Ryan Summers on guitar, John (Fish) Hunt on drums, and Casey Moreland on bass.

Sasha McVeigh, the self-proclaimed British Redneck, started the night with a mix of solid originals such as God Bless This Mess and Victor, and powerful covers such as Somebody Like You and Country Roads. The early arrivers enjoyed McVeigh’s energy and emotion.

McVeigh was supported by David Evans on acoustic guitar, Parker Lanier on electric guitar, Wyatt Thomas on bass, and Tristan Dean on drums.
