Midnight.Blue is a Denver-based Funk/Neo-Soul/RnB band that features some of the most notable touring musicians in the 303, including Lyle Divinsky (vocals – formerly of The Motet), Eric Benny Bloom (trumpet – Lettuce), Josh Fairman – (bass – Sunsquabi), Adam Deitch (drums – Lettuce), Ian Gilley (keys – Recess), Jay.Greens (guitar – Perception Records), Halle Tomlinson (vocals – The Voice), and G. Finesse (vocals – Black Eagle Society). Although most of the band members are known for their work in the jam scene, the project is a decidedly different direction for all of them, and the songwriting is fantastic. The band’s debut album, Breathe, arrives on 8/18 and they will celebrate the album with a release show at The Bluebird on 9/1.

Jake ‘Jay.Greens’ Leventhal is the unofficial band leader. He’s a Denver native (and a CU Boulder alum), and he is debuting Midnight.Blue alongside the launch of his new label, Perception Records. Leventhal has grand plans for the label – he’ll be handling solo projects for the aforementioned artists, and he’s in the midst of launching a nonprofit that will provide Denver middle and high school students access to arts and music.
