Micky & The Motorcars have been gearing up for the 2022 Braun Brothers Reunion that will be in their hometown Challis, ID, on August 11-13, but they still made time to hit The Grizzly Rose on Friday night.

Brothers Micky and Gary Braun led the charge on vocals and guitars, and had Bobby Paugh on drums, Pablo Trujillo on lead guitar and pedal steel, Andy Carrell on bass, and Alex Hartley on keys, saxophone, and accordion.

Playing from an extended catalog, Red Dirt rockers MMC took listeners through early songs such as Careless, Rock Springs to Cheyenne, Love is Where I Left It (all from 2007), and their long-standing cover of The Road Goes On Forever (Robert Earl Keen), and featured songs from Long Time Comin’, rocking out to Rodeo Girl, Road to You, Alone Again Tonight, Break My Heart, Stranger Tonight, and Hold This Town Together. Find the full setlist in the photos below.

Billy Brown and his band based out of Kentucky and Nashville, TN, had the job of enticing early arrivers up to the dancefloor. Brown mixed in solid originals such as Middle Of A Country Night and She’s My Girl, with country covers of Drink In My Hand, Down to the Honky Tonk, Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck, Dixieland Delight, She’s Country, Body Like a Back Road, Country Girl, and Save a Horse. Line dancers also approved of the rockin’ rendition of Copperhead Road.

Billy Brown was supported by Duane Wooldridge on drums, Tobie Emerson on bass, and John Luke Hullings on guitar. Check www.billybrowncountry.com for more information.
