It was a cold, snowy night, but that didn’t keep Flatland Cavalry fans from packing the Grizzly Rose in Denver on Friday night.

Out of Lubbock, TX, Flatland Cavalry played a rocking set of Country-Folk-Americana. Lead vocalist Cleto Cordero played guitar and wore his heart on his sleeve, while Reid Dillon handled the electric guitar, Wesley Hall played the fiddle, (if you’re gonna play Texas music outside of Texas, you better have a fiddle in the band), Jonathan Saenz popped the bass, Adam Gallegos played the keys, and Jason Albers hit the drums.

Flatland Cavalry impressed listeners with tunes such as Old School, One I Want, No Ace in the Hole, Honeywine, Coyote, and Humble Folks. Find the full setlist below.

The Grizzly Rose and Honky-tonk crooner Jake Worthington, out of LaPorte, TX, were a perfect match to light things up before Flatland took the stage. Worthing had great success on The 6th season of The Voice (2014), finishing in 2nd place. In his initial performance at the historic venue, Worthington reminded listeners that today’s singers aren’t all Pop-Country. Playing songs that included Big Time Lonesome, How Do You Honky Tonk, Jonesin’, Just Keep Falling In Love, State You Left Me In, and adding in solid covers of Long Haired Country Boy, Talk To Me Texas, and Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind, Worthington gave a strong showing. Worthington was supported by Mike Tucker on guitar, James Pendel on drums, Jake Wilson on bass, and Brennan Rice on steel guitar. Visit thejakeworthington.com for more information.

Matt Farris, from Arizona and now based out of Nashville, warmed up the early-arrivers with songs such as Living in the Fast Lane, Tell Me That You Love Me, Redneck Attitude, Tradition, American Made, Just Having One, Me or the Whiskey, and adding in covers of Wave on Wave and Simple Man.

Lead guitarist Anthony McCarthy gave a rocking rendition of the National Anthem that held the attention of everyone in the place. Also supporting Farris on stage were Matt Reimann on drums, Daniel Philpot on guitar, and Josh Cummings on bass.
