STONES THROW TOUR 2018; Jerry Paper * Kiefer * Stimulator Jones * Prophet, In Denver Oct. 10-Globe Hall

This fall, four of Stones Throw Records newest signings will hit the road together.

The tour will feature performances from synth pop guru Jerry Paper, beats and keys from Kiefer, 90s-inspired R&B from Stimulator Jones, and synth funk from lost legend Prophet.

Stones Throw Records, established in 1996 by DJ Peanut Butter Wolf, is known for its eclectic, left-of-center roster. The label has released music from Madvillain, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge), J Dilla, Madlib, Mild High Club, Sudan Archives and Washed Out, among others.

Jerry Paper

Jerry Paper is known for his left-field, synth-pop songs that recall oddball kindred spirits like Ariel Pink and Connan Mockasin. Jerry will release his Stones Throw debut this fall, Like A Baby, co-produced by Matty Tavares of BadBadNotGood.

Kiefer is an LA-based jazz pianist and beat maker. He just released his sophomore effort, Happysad, to praise from Bandcamp, Consequence Of Sound, the BBC and more. When not working on his own stuff, he makes beats for the likes of Kaytranda and Anderson .Paak

Stimulator Jones

Stimulator Jones, is a Virginia-based RnB crooner who shreds on the guitar and plays every instrument on his debut record, Exotic Worlds and Masterful Treasures. His music dips in and out of classic 80s and 90s R&B styles– capturing the heady feel of Keith Sweat, K-Ci and Jojo, and Guy.

Prophet is an underground 80s synth funk singer and musician who garnered a cult following from one private-press, self produced LP he put out in 1984 . Stones Throw has just released his second album ever, Wanna Be Your Man (34 years in the making), pairing him up w/ labelmate Mndsgn. Tyler the Creator recently shared his appreciation of Prophet by sampling him on “Peach Fuzz.”
