There are cover bands and then there’s Denver’s own 80’s Hard Rock and Hair Metal tribute band Mr. Steak. Securing the Sunset Strip vibe, Mr. Steak rocked Westminster on Thursday night at Hoffbrau.

Led by their two vocalists, Hamm Dagger (Justin Conant) & Swarma Beef (Ron Walker), Mr. Steak started their show with Quiet Riot and people banging their heads from the first song. Mr. Steak played the popular songs you’d expect and also through in lesser known songs too. The first set also included songs from Dokken, Tesla, Ozzy, Cinderella, Faster Pussycat, Shotgun Messiah, The Kinks, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses, Slaughter, Hardline and Night Ranger.

Mr. Steak wouldn’t be complete without Sir Beef Swellington (Joe Sego) on Bass,  Short Rib (Scott Anthony Kennedy) handling Shredding Guitar, Beef Strokinoff (Philo Sudberry) also scorching on Guitar, and Ronnie Pastrami (Ron Galindo) banging on Drums.

It was evident that this group is very talented, fun and focused on 80s metal. Audience members were dancing and singing along to every song as they were transported to Hollywood  for a few hours on Thursday night.
