The Heartstring Hunters bring a charming drop of Boulder folk to Denver.

By Veronica Lee

The Heartstring Hunters kicked off their spring tour with an Album Release party in Denver last Friday night. The Boulder based indie folk rock band visited Globe Hall mere days after releasing their self-titled debut EP and played the fun and dynamic record live. Soaring with sweet harmonies and a soulful blend of acoustic and electric, The Heartstring Hunters delighted with song and stories. Lead vocalist, Carolyn Nicely, resonated with a familiarity and ease while tapping in with a Dolly Parton-esque quality and charm. The band follows her lead and eluminates the stage in true folk story-telling fashion, taking the listener on the journey of road life, passion, and love. With the full band in sync, Daniel Hunter on lead guitar, Alessandro Ceserani on drums, Rachael Schaeffer with backup vocals and percussion and Alex Heaton on bass brought a bit of Boulder to Denver and left the big city ready for more. The Heartstring Hunters deliver a show that is worthy of their name, and deliver a bit of a good ol’ tug on those heart strings of their fans.

Also in attendance were three other support acts that are noteworthy, be sure to check out the review and slideshow of Dallas Thornton, Watching For Foxes, and Folk Family Revival here!
