Today, GRAMMY award-winning musician, Anna Wise has unveiled her latest music video for her meditative track “Balance In All” via Stereogum. PRESS HERE to watch. The video, which was self-directed by Wise herself and shot by Alex Blum, follows Wise as she gets in touch with nature by blissfully wandering through a variety of outdoor settings from a waterfall to a cliff side. “Balance In All” is the latest single off of the critically-lauded EP – The Feminine: Act II (out now). The project is a brilliant collection of soulful R&B grooves with a spiritual core and production richness that is coupled with lyrics that celebrate womanhood with a powerful feminist stance.

Anna Wise told Stereogum: “I grew up in Northern California close to what I call the ocean forest. My family would often visit Muir Woods. There are trees so big there you can’t wrap your arms around them. On these family trips I’d sneak off into a private corner of nature and sing to the Redwoods. I felt completely isolated in my private nature nook, although my mom always had an eye on me. I fell in love with the dense green and became acquainted with silence. I’d lie still and watch nature reveal itself to me. The faint smell of salt water reminded me the Pacific Ocean was just beyond the foliage curtain. It wasn’t until I moved to Brooklyn that I realized I grew up in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I began to miss it terribly. Recently, I had a chance to return home. I felt drawn to document where I first felt wild and free as a child. “Balance In All” is a tribute to the ecstatic healing powers of nature, the natural anti-depressant of fresh air and bird songs, and the cleansing power of the ocean.”

Additional Praise for Anna Wise + “Coconuts” +  The Feminine: Act II
“The Feminine: Act I, which offered a quick glimpse into the ups and downs of womanhood. With her forthcoming EP, The Feminine: Act II, Wise treads a similar road, presenting a lucid set of dream-pop and R&B designed to uplift the masses.” – NPR
“She’s [Wise] becoming a mainstage attraction in her own right. ‘Coconuts,’ the first single from her upcoming album The Feminine: Act II, retains the pop/R&B elements of her previous album, The Feminine: Act I, it also builds upon them with laid-back jazz undertones.” – Pitchfork
“The aptly named The Feminine: Act II, Wise leans into spindly R&B and airy jazz, like on lead single ‘Coconuts.'” – Stereogum

“The visuals synchronizes perfectly with the rising synths and warm brass of the song [‘Coconuts’] itself, reflecting the harmony experienced on set between the women.” – Consequence of Sound
“The self-directed video synchronizes perfectly with the rising synths and warm brass of the song itself, and sees Wise joined by several other women for an interpretative dance routine. Instantly iconic.” –  Wonderland Magazine

“Music doesn’t get any more authentic than Anna Wise.” – Paper

“Anna Wise, purveyor of damn good music with damn good lyrics and some damn good beats…” – Milk

“The voice of the Kendrick Lamar collaborator is soft but her words are powerful.” – Salon
