Multi-platinum artist Sam Barber headlined the BMO Pavilion at Summerfest on July 4 in Milwaukee, WI. Barber hit the stage after a 30-minute Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza at Summerfest creating an ethereal and smoky atmosphere as he hit the stage.
On July 9, 2026 Barber will headline Red Rocks for the first time — a deeply personal milestone for the artist, who had long promised himself he would never visit the iconic venue until he could see it for the first time ever as a sold-out headliner. Based on the enchanting stage set up and fan connection at Summerfest, the Red Rocks show will be incredible.
Barber’s breakout came with “Indigo (feat. Avery Anna),” a viral sensation that earned him his first Billboard Hot 100 entry and has since generated hundreds of millions of streams. The momentum continued with his debut album Restless Mind, which landed in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. During his Summerfest set, “Restless Mind” was a huge set highlight which featured multi-instrumentalist Luisa Marion on fiddle, keys and vocals.
Raised on a farm in southeast Missouri, Barber began playing music as a teenager after picking up his great-grandfather’s Gibson guitar. Barber’s appeal remains grounded in his perspective: an artist who didn’t set out to chase fame, but instead built a following through word-of-mouth, vulnerability, and songs that feel unfiltered. He is based in Bozeman, Montana and continues to evolve as one of country music’s fastest-rising and “most in-demand artists” according to Rolling Stone.
