Band Bio
David Burchfield is new to Denver, but not to making original and innovative folk music. Drawing from influences from Jason Isbell to Wilco to Gillian Welch, David’s music has been called “spare, lovely, and interested in the mystical” (The Pitch Magazine). The Kansas City Star said he puts “a charming and disarming twist on old-time country, folk and string-band music.”

Emerging from a long hiatus with a full band, Burchfield is bringing a rock sound to his folk roots. The band lineup is stacked with accomplished local players: Neil McCormick (Kid Reverie, Glowing House, Safe Boating, Boulder Acoustic Society) plays upright bass, Jess Parsons (Glowing House) is on keys and vocals, Danica Cunningham (Wood Belly, Pistols in Petticoats, Von Stomper, Ginny Mules) plays fiddle and Dax Jordan is on drums.
