Fort Worth native Drake Milligan bought the Texas dancing music as he returned to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Now out of Nashville, this American Idol and America’s Got Talent alum, Milligan, showcased his talents with songs like Sounds Like Something I’d Do, Bad Day to Be a Beer, Over Drinkin’ Under Thinkin’, Tipping Point, and songs from his newest release, Tumbleweed.

Milligan was supported by Ryan de Mers on electric guitar and vocals, Kelly Hagan on fiddle and vocals, Adam Story on keys, Jordan Molacek on steel guitar, Kramer Sell on drums and vocals, and Clay Sell on bass guitar. Milligan and his band kept the party going with Goin’ Down Swingin’, Kiss Goodbye All Night, and Hearts Together. Find the full setlist below

Texas native Gunnar Latham played before Milligan. Latham gave a quick lesson on who he is with songs such as Rusty Strings, Good to be a Cowboy, Don’t Hold Your Breath, Speed Trap Town, and One Two Step.

Latham was supported by Richard Lamm on drums, Hunter Howell on lead guitar, Derek Westbrook on steel guitar, and Calen Parish on bass. Out of Arizona, Harry Luge & The Desert Drifters started the night with their Outlaw-Red Dirt Country. Backed by Mick Hogan on guitar, his wife Tara on drums, and Mike Nutt on bass, Harry Luge and his band fully entertained the crowd with friendly banter and high energy.

 

Starting with Ride Ride Ride, Luge hit the growing crowd with a hard-driving set of originals that included Ain’t Your Fault, Change My Ways, Here Ever After, Drinkin’ in Dry County, California, Drunk In My Drink, and Rattlesnake Road.
