Corey Kent, originally from Bixby, Oklahoma, now based in Dallas, TX, SOLD-OUT The Grizzly Rose on Saturday night as part of his Black Bandana Tour. From sitting with Willie to getting a tour bus and opening for Jason Aldean, Kent is unapologetically himself and thrives on live music stages. Slinging Texas Country and rockin’ it up, Kent tells relatable stories to connect with listeners.
Playing a heaping helping from Black Bandana, Kent engaged the throng with Ain’t Gonna Lie, This Heart, Damn Good Country Song, Rust, Now or Never, Never Ready, and Black Bandana.
Kent had support from Chris Wilson on drums, Jordan Landers on bass, Steven Adams on guitar, Ethan Ratcliffe on guitar and keys, Beau Griego as tour manager, Nick on photos, and Matt Liley on production manager, as they powered through more songs that included Gold, How You Know You Made It, Highways, and Wild As Her. Clayton Mullen out of Fort Worth, TX, brought his Texas country to the stage. Brandon Jones Band started the night with songs about Jones’ home in South Dakota and his life, warming the electrified crowd up with a set of original songs that included Black Hills Back Road, Party, 14 x 80, Into My Arms, Kiss Me All Night, Forever Yours, and Change My Love.
