Zach Top is a hot ticket! He played the second night of his sold-out run at The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Hailing from Sunnyside, Washington, Top is as country as country can get. Starting out with Bluegrass roots with the family band, it’s been a journey already. He also spent time at CU Boulder until making music full-time.

He caught a lot of heat for saying early in his career, he “couldn’t write a Morgan Wallen song”, but has worked the song-writing craft by co-writing songs such as his debut single sent to country radio, Sounds Like a Radio, with which he started his night.

Top and his band which included Jimmy on bass, Cheyenne on acoustic guitar, Nate on drums, Stiggy on steel guitar, and Dave on fiddle and piano, filled the historic venue with “a little bit of fiddle and a whole lot of country gold”. Fans packed the dancefloor to hear songs such as Lonely For Long, There’s the Sun, Dirt Turns to Gold, Use Me, I Never Lie, and Cold Beer & Country Music. Cole Goodwin out of Georgia started the show with an engaging set of country tunes that began with a strong cover of Driving My Live Away to get the crowd roaring. In support, Goodwin had Branden Lewis on drums, Jon Paul Green on guitar, and Larry Jones on bass, as they powered through tunes such as Memory of Mine, When You Get Home, Picking You Up, and his newest release Fast Track Back.
