Founded in 1982, Diamond Rio put out their self-titled release in 1991 and hasn’t looked back since. Playing The World Famous Grizzly Rose 25 or so times, Diamond Rio returned to show Denver fans much appreciation on Friday night.

Diamond Rio headlined the night led by Marty Roe on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jimmy Olander on lead guitar and banjo, Dan Truman on keyboards, Dana Williams on bass guitar, and baritone vocals, and new band members Carson McKee on fiddle/mandolin and harmony vocals, and Micah Schweinsberg on drums. Diamond Rio presented a slew of hits that had the crowd singing along the entire set.

Songs included their 5 #1 hits, their first single, Meet in the Middle (1991), How Your Love Makes Me Feel (1997), One More Day (2001), Beautiful Mess (2002), and I Believe (2003). Find the full setlist in the photos below.

Diamond Rio has so many hits that they had to make a medley (You’re Gone, Walkin’ Away, Holdin’, Love A Little Stronger, All In Your Head), to make sure no one had forgotten all of their big songs. Roe explained that they play In God We Still Trust every night to highlight God and country. The fans showed their appreciation and Diamond Rio showed it right back to the fans.

The full-length set of hits included Unbelievable, Norma Jean Riley, Nowhere Bound, Imagine That, Mirror Mirror, and I Believe. The audience packed in close to hear the songs they grew up with, however, there were quite a few younger folks in the front row that were singing along to every tune. Diamond Rio finished up their set with Meet In The Middle, How Your Love Makes Me Feel, and Bubba Hyde. Catch up with Diamond Rio on their website, diamondrio.com.

Raised in South Carolina and currently playing out of Phoenix, AZ, Buddy Martell and his band showed the early arrivers a good time with songs such as 5150, Chicken Fried, Whiskey Glasses, Where I Come From, Much Too Young, When It Rains It Pours, I’m From the Country, Copperheard Road, Guitars & Cadillacs, Beer in Mexico, and The Dance. The Buddy Martell Band also included original songs Ramblin’ Too (their current single), Diamond on the Inside, and Just Dance. Martell told fans about the soon-to-be-released EP, that will include those original tunes.

Buddy Martell Band had frontman Buddy Martell on vocals and guitar, Danny Austin on guitar, Leanna Blue on bass, and Derek Swink on drums.
