SUN ROOM CREATE THE IDEALISTIC ENDLESS SUMMER WITH NEW SINGLE “KADEN’S VAN” – STREAM

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED OUTTA THEIR MINDS EP

SET TO ARRIVE ON MARCH 3

RECENTLY ANNOUNCED AS SUPPORT FOR INHALER’S NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Clocking in at a little over two and a half minutes, Sun Room put their modern spin on the theme to a 1960s beach party film with today’s release of “Kaden’s Van” – Stream. A rebellious, guitar-driven anthem for pushing aside your worries and responsibilities while with friends, the track has a finger on the pulse of the skate and surf culture the band was molded by. Bringing their global buzz back home, Sun Room will celebrate the release of their new single with a show tonight at San Diego’s infamous SOMA.

Coming on March 3, the band will release their highly anticipated EP Outta Their Minds. Holding onto the authenticity of their DIY house show/ garage band practice roots despite their meteoric rise over the last two years, Sun Room taps into the unbridled energy of four young guys who have fully thrown themselves into what they do.

Lead singer Luke Asgian said, “I dropped outta college last year for the band but I still live down here in San Diego with 10 of my friends from school. This song is kinda about summer down here and all that brings; us getting the cops called on us for throwing house shows, my buddy Kaden’s van breaking down, barely scraping up enough cash for rent, etc. It’s chaotic but it’s fun and I think the song turned out the same way.”

He continues, “We were gone on tour almost all of this past year, but we had the summer back home and we wrote and recorded the song in the midst of the chaos; so I guess it’s a love song to San Diego and all the kids down here who mosh at our house shows.”

Last month, Sun Room released their first single of the year, “Cadillac” along with an official video directed by Kelly Hammond. The release inspired a wave of critical acclaim from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, DIY, Atwood Magazine and Buzzbands LA, along with editorial playlist support from Spotify’s All New Rock, Apple’s New in Rock, and many others.

Already veterans of the road at such young ages, Sun Room played over 115 shows in 24 different countries in 2022; a mix of headline and festival slots, interspersed between supporting Inhaler and Louis Tomlinson. The band is currently out on a West Coast run, with a hometown show at San Diego’s SOMA tonight. Through March and April, the band will support Inhaler on their North American tour before taking the stage of Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival in May, all while writing and releasing new music. ABOUT SUN ROOM

Sun Room is Southern California’s newest four piece rock band built up by Luke Asgian (lead vocals & guitar), Ashton Minnich (guitar), Max Pinamonti (bass), and Gibby Anderson (drums). Sun Room first formed by playing local house shows amongst the young surf community in Southern California but after a series of viral moments, two of their singles “Crashed My Bike” and “Something That You’re Missing” were included on the Netflix series, Outer Banks. Later that year, the band hosted a series of headline shows including sold out dates in LA, San Diego and a set at Austin City Limits Music Festival, before supporting Irish rock band Inhaler in the US.

In 2022, Sun Room went on to open for Louis Tomlinson on his sold out North American tour before re-joining him on his South/Central American tour. In between the two runs, Sun Room was invited to re-join Inhaler on their European tour. While balancing an international touring schedule, Sun Room released two singles “Clementine” and “I Want You” each paired with music videos. Making their way back to the US after playing in 24 different countries throughout Summer 2022, Sun Room embarked on their first headline tour across North America, selling over 13,000 tickets from September to October.

In the last year, Sun Room has gained over 500k followers across social media with a steady flow of consistent listeners that continue to grow. The band’s upcoming EP Outta Their Minds is set for release on March 3.
