Alt-pop star beabadoobee just released her critically acclaimed album Beatopia via Dirty Hit and will be bringing her North American tour to Denver, CO on 11/26 at Summit Music Hall, with special guest and labelmates Lowertown.

Beatopia has received major praise and glowing reviews from the mainstream and tastemakers alike, and landed Bea on the cover of publications around the globe including The Face, Kerrang, Dork and Music WeekPRESS HERE to listen to the album. Bea also just released a new video for track “Sunny Day” a breezy hit of dopamine that finds Bea in a mystical woodland. Beatopia also features latest single “10:36,” lead single “Talk,” and recent album tracks “Lovesong” and “See You Soon.” Her return to the U.S. this Fall follows some big festival appearances like Coachella, Gov Ball, and Glastonbury and a tour with Halsey earlier this year.

Named after a fantastical world created by Bea at 7 years old to escape to as a child, Beatopia finds Bea exploring a brighter, expanded sonic palette and in a place where she is finally accepting herself, processing past traumas and healing. NPR praised the album as “a blend of timelessness and immediacy” while Rolling Stone hoped Bea keeps making albums “as good as this one.” Pitchfork lauded the LP as “simultaneously heavy and light, dense and playful, melodic and dissonant” and Stereogum called it “…a leap forward… a woozy, pretty, accessible record.” NME praised Bea for “exploring a new sonic palette with confidence” and Kerrang said “The sheer range of sounds attempted here is impressive” and Dork lauded Beatopia as marking “beabadoobee as an artist able to set her own terms. Inventive, playful and…truly magical.”

Lowertown is also really talented. Named a Best New Artist by Pigeons & Planes, an Artist on The Rise by Line of Best Fit, and an Artist To Watch by Ones to Watch, the lo-fi darlings have cemented themselves as one of the genre’s most exciting new talents, and we’ll be announcing new music very soon. Check out their most recent single The Gaping Mouth,”  and more info can be found below.

ABOUT BEABADOOBEE

With more than 4.6 billion global streams, beabadoobee has been on a stratospheric rise with her flawless output of confessional bedroom pop songs and a dedicated Gen-Z fanbase. Her 2020 debut album Fake It Flowers cemented Bea as a fast-rising one to watch with songs like “Worth It” and “Sorry.”

Her latest EP Our Extended Play also featured “Cologne,” and was co-written and produced by Matty Healy and George Daniels of The 1975, capturing the period of artistic growth and personal discovery that followed Fake It Flowers. At just 22 years old, Bea was named one of Apple’s Up Next artists in 2021, was nominated for the BRITs Rising Star Award, and has received acclaim from New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Teen Vogue, The FADER, i-D, Consequence, Paper, Pigeons and Planes, Dazed, Cosmopolitan, Stereogum, Nylon, Complex, NME, The Guardian, Vulture, UPROXX, and more. Born in the Philippines and raised in London, beabadoobee signed with Dirty Hit following the success of her viral single “Coffee” which was sampled years later in 2020’s sixth most streamed song of the summer “death bed (coffee for your head)” – a song which climbed into the Top 20 chart in 27 countries and brought Bea her first RIAA Platinum Certification.

About Lowertown

Lowertown has amassed a cult-like following with their moody aesthetics, vulnerable lyrics, and their grungy soundscapes, and on their most recent EP, The Gaping Mouth, bandmates Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg traveled to London to record with renowned producer Catherine Marks (Foals, St. Vincent, Manchester Orchestra and Wolf Alice). The EP was deemed one of Pitchfork’s “6 Albums You Should Listen To Now” and the title track “The Gaping Mouth” landed a coveted spot on the weekly “Pitchfork Selects” playlist. Lowertown’s debut LP Friends, released in 2019, garnered millions of organic streams on Spotify, and their music has earned them coverage in The Guardian, Pitchfork, Alternative Press, FADER, NME, DIY, Dork, Far Out, Under the Radar, Notion, plays on BBC Radio 1, and more. Most recently, they wrapped tours with indie darlings Wet Leg and Porches and were a big hit at SXSW where they played the Gorilla vs. BearPaste and Neon Gold showcases.
