~ The opening night foresaw some unfortunate weather, but as we all know the show must go on. The night was opened by a band that has shared the stage with Umphrey’s in the past named Spafford. Spafford is based in Arizona and jams with a group of five musician, Brian Moss [guitar], Jordan Fairless [bass], Andrew “Red” Johnson [keys], and Nick Tkachyk [drums].
~After a 30 minute rain delay Umphrey’s McGee walked on the stage and played an amazing two sets. Umphrey’s McGee, a band full of lifelong friends that travel all around jamming out from city to city absolutely kicked their three day tour this weekend here in Colorado at the legendary venue Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band consist of six participants—Brendan Bayliss [guitar, vocals], Jake Cinninger [guitar, vocals], Joel Cummins [keyboards, piano, vocals], Andy Farag [percussion], Kris Myers [drums, vocals], and Ryan Stasik [bass].
