Shortly after releasing their second LP, The Electric Man, Charlotte, North Carolina based indie synth-rock band Flagship hit the road and made a stop right here in Denver Monday night.

A vivid display of artistic craft and powerful visual and auditory expression, the high energy performance at Larimer Lounge Monday night has made Flagship a must-watch. From the flashing of lively strobes to the bumping bass laying the ground work to the harmonious melodies, the touring foursome let it all out on stage. The out-pouring of sweat and emotions was matched by the intensity of the fans excitement as they played recognizable tunes along with new music.
Their big summer track, “Mexican Jackpot,” off the latest album, had every pair of feet bouncing as they kept the energy high with “100 Lives” and “Midnight.” Seamlessly switching between beats on keys to the lush sounds of acoustic, the songwriting is infectious as well as interesting and dynamic. Optimism flows within the lyrics of these songs, with “It’ll All Work Out” swaying as the anthem to the struggle and inner strength buried deep within during perilous questioning.
Currently on tour with In The Valley Below, Flagship has found another place to call home here in Denver. Flagship promises to return soon as they embark on a fall tour in September. Stay tuned for more information!
