Nearing the end of a near 30 stop headlinging national tour, Lewis Del Mar with performance artist Anna Wise focused their energies and attentions on Denver.

The two diversely different acts puts on a stellar performance at the sold-out Bluebird Theater on Friday night, and the fans showed up in droves.
Anna Wise opened the late night show with crowd-stopping captivation as she built her loops and beats in her solo performance. Weaving in interesting layering with live performance, this vocalist showed off her pipes and capabilities. With slight apprehension, Del Mar fans were brought into the world of Wise as she won over the crowd with her performance.
The New York based singer, songwriter and creative is not new, but is showcasing fresh and interesting music and has already generated quite the buzz in the last couple of years. Wise is packed with a Grammy already under her belt for the Rap/Sung Collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and has led the Sonnymoon and is now focusing on her solo career. With the release of The Feminine: Act 1 in 2016 and The Feminine: Act 2 in 2017, Wise is eager to wrap up the tour and get back to New York to begin the journey of creation again.
Lewis Del Mar, the headlining act of Colfax Friday night, did not disappoint the packed house. Considered experimental folk-pop, the duo that is the collective mind of friends and bandmates is Danny Miller (guitar/vocals) and Max Hardwood (drums/production). Backed by a full band, the two take front and center stage and immerse their audience into a journey of audio/visual sensory continuity.
Providing a projection screen the play slides and videos that transport to the land their sounds become visions, the band is pushed to the edge of the stage and breaks the wall of fan vs performer. Sharing stories of their path, Miller recalls the last trip to Denver, a self-proclaimed unsuccessful night at the intimate Larimer Lounge. Friday night, however, the band faced a very different experience with the lively crowd singing and dancing along to each track with familiarity and vivacity.
