Nashville’s emerging alternative rock band, Future Thieves is currently streaming an exclusive first listen of their new live album, Live at Blue Rock, to be released on January 13th. CLICK HERE to listen exclusively on Guitar World.
Live at Blue Rock is a collection of melodic rock, turbocharged Americana songs from their debut album Horizon Line (released in 2015) along with four unreleased tracks.
Playing live is one the essential elements to Future Thieves’ creative process. The album was created after the band played a blistering set at Blue Rock Studios in Texas that had been previously live streamed. And in the vein of synchronicity created by continuous touring, a live record was born.
The bassist, Nick Goss says, “Live at Blue Rock is about as raw as it gets for us. We are so thrilled to be putting out a product that musically reflects our first two years as a band. The touring, writing, and traveling are all so fun for us. But recording is a completely different aspect of our lives. We love how big the sound of this record is, and hope the intimacy of the performance is a breath of fresh air for the fans.”
In support of this new release, Future Thieves will be playing at SXSW and then head to their first tour in Europe during the Spring.

Future Thieves has been together for a little over two years. In that brief time, they’ve stirred up plenty of attention from fans throughout Music City. The band has grown through continuous touring that is creating a buzz from their live performances, some that include Bonnaroo, Summerfest and among others.
