From Logansport, Louisiana, Bryan Martin dropped it down to four-wheel drive on Friday night at The Grizzly Rose. Martin shared his brand of Outlaw country with songs such as More Than the Shine, Never Coming Home, Wolves Cry, Beauty in the Struggle, Everyone’s an Outlaw, Divided States, Memory to Drown, and We Ride.
The crowd connected fully with the Nashville songwriter, and 8-month-sober Martin was grateful for the fans who helped him sing his songs, especially from his latest release, Years In The Making. It was time to break another Wishbone, as Martin and his band kept the party going with solid covers of Boot Scoot Boogie, Simple Man, and Whipping Post. Find the full setlist in the Grizzly Rose photos below.
On stage with Martin were Arjun Baxter on bass, Nick Lingon on drums, Jared Margulies on guitar, and Heath Hall on guitar. Martin is as authentic and genuine as one can get. Visit bryanmartinofficial.com for more information.
Denver’s own Rhett Haney started the show with Playboys, and kept the music flowing with songs from his latest release, The Nashville Eight, including original tunes. Those songs included Turn This Truck Around, Acting My Wage, Background Noise, That Makes Two of Us, Un-Single, Reason to Run, and This Ol’ Barstool. He also included his latest release (blocked by FB and IG but not YouTube), Cold Beer & Cocaine.
He also included solid covers of The Fireman, Guitars & Cadillacs, Freight Train, Amarillo by Morning, When She Comes Home Tonight, Copperhead Road, and Devil Went Down to Georgia. Haney had support from Brett Walston on lead guitar, Laura Quam on fiddle, and Matt Feldman on drums.
