Jason Boland & The Stragglers returned to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Cheap bourbon whiskey, pearl-snap shirts, and Jason Boland are three things that stay the same.
Bringing his classic Red Dirt tunes and Okie spirit, Boland featured new music from his 2025 release, The Last Kings of Babylon, his 11th full album. Those songs included his opening song Drive, Truest Colors, and One Law At A Time.
Jason Boland & The Stragglers had Jason Boland front and center, Grant Tracy on bass, Chris Compton on drums, Klaus Hamburg on steel guitar, and Nick Gedra on fiddle and mandolin. Other recognizable songs included Tulsa Time, Pearl Snaps, Somewhere Down in Texas, When I’m Stoned, and Telephone Romeo. Find the full setlist below.

Lendon James and his band out of Loveland, Colorado, started the show with a little something for everyone with cowboy music, honky tonk sounds, and 90’s country.
James started the set with That Girl, and kept the party going with Fireman, Guitars & Cadillacs, and performed ’90s anthems such as Cadillac Cowboy, Brand New Man, Seminole Wind, Brand New Man, Little Sister, and Much Too Young. James also rocked the stage with Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Redneck Girl, and All My Exes Live in Texas. James also slipped in other original tunes, Crazy and Them Ol’ Cowboys. James ended his set with a rocking rendition of Fast as You. Find the full setlist below. Ben Sand supported James on bass, Jimi Z on guitar, Curt Adams on fiddle, and Steve Lewis on drums.
