Cooper Alan brought his Tik-Tonk music back to Colorado on Friday night. Playing the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock as part of their Summer Concert Series, Cooper brought the whole kit and caboodle. Hailing from Winston Salem, North Carolina, and currently out of Nashville, Alan had the crowd roaring with songs such as This Ain’t Country, To the Bar, and The Fridge.
Backed by Scott Inkley on guitar, Tom Lohmann on bass, and Darius Fant on drums, Alan kept the party going with Can’t Dance and Feel Like Hell Today. Other songs included New Normal, Never Not Remember You, Keep It to Myself, Take Forever, First Rodeo, Colt 45, and Runnin’, among a slew of other high-energy songs. Make it a point to always catch the whole show as Cooper and his band mash-up multiple songs based on audience input.

Georgia native Clay Page opened the night for his first-ever performance in Colorado. The American Idol alum (2019), seemed at home in the nature at the sprawling outdoor venue. Page engaged listeners with stories about growing up in Georgia and songs about life: I’ll Be the One, Crickets, Something, Let It Shine, and Around Down Here. Page was supported on stage by Kevin Mitchell on guitar, Elliott Satterfield on bass, and Will Thompson on drums.
Page had a little something for everyone as he gave a shout-out to the veterans in attendance, and kept the tunes going with a great cover of Fishin’ in the Dark before diving back into more original songs that included the bluesy Same Old Song, Somewhere In Between, Screen on a Back Porch, a gospel ditty Grace of God, and Lonely Highway to Georgia.
