2/16/2024 Cooper Alan at The Grizzly Rose, with Sophia Scott and Josh Roy

Cooper Alan brought his Tik-Tonk music to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night, selling out the historic venue. Hailing from Winston Salem, North Carolina, and currently out of Nashville, Alan had the crowd roaring with songs such as This Ain’t Country, To the Bar, Small Town Celebrities, and The Fridge.

Backed by Scott Inkley on guitar, Tom Lohmann on bass, and Darius Fant on drums, Alan kept the party going with Can’t Dance. Other songs included New Normal and Runnin’, among a slew of other high-energy songs.

Sophia Scott, SophiaScottMusic.com, based in Nashville and raised in Boulder, Colorado, brought her Southern Rock, Pop, R&B, and Soul to the stage to warm up the raucous crowd with songs such as No You Didn’t, Leather Skirt, and Lipstick on You.

Scott was supported on stage Darrick Strauss on guitar and Ben Woods on drums, and also supported by the crowd for a shot of tequila. Songs included Drink Too Much Wine, Watering Roses, and Mullet Over, among others. Find the full setlist below.

Nashville recording artist, and singer-songwriter, Josh Roy from Arizona started off the night with a set of originals that included Break My Own Heart, Three Days In Mexico, You’re Gonna Hate This Song, Honey Do List, and Don’t Quit the Band. Roy also caught the attention of the growing throng with a moment of silence and a touching song, Angels Cry, as a military salute.

 

 

Josh Roy was the lead singer and played acoustic guitar, Matt Ryman was on drums, Michael Stamy was on keyboards and backing vocals, Darryl Johnson was on bass and backing vocals, and Todd Kenyon was on lead guitar and backing vocals.
