Three things you can count on in Denver during January are broken New Year’s resolutions, cold weather for the National Western Stock Show, and colossal concerts at The World Famous Grizzly Rose.

Have you heard? Dancing on honky-tonk hardwood floors is the new way to work out in 2024. Maybe you haven’t made it into the gym yet, but you’re planning on it. Randall King was your personal trainer as he returned to the historic SOLD-OUT venue on Friday night. Hailing from West Texas, King is a throwback to the 90’s Country heyday and pure Country sounds.

King hit the stage running with Tonk ‘Til I Die, Baby Do, and Dent In It. Other fan-favorite songs included Tuggin’ On My Heartstrings, Freightline, Hard to Be Humble, Hey Cowgirl, and Mirror Mirror. Look for his upcoming release, Into The Neon.

Supporting King on-stage were Seth Ramirez on bass, Logan Broadus on guitar, Matt Harber on steel guitar, Hector Rivera on guitar, and Jason Barocio on drums.

Opening for King was Texas native, Braxton Keith. Incorporating an old-school country sound, Keith captured the attention and gained a roomful of new fans in Colorado with sounds such as Honky Tonk City, Gonna Come Back as a Country Song, and Devil In Disguise. Keith was supported by The Contraband which included Jayce Mozisek on drums, Michael Merino on guitar, Johnathan Merino on bass, and Jack Speer on guitar.

Keith and his band kept the party going with Love You More, Cold Hard Steel and Sand, A Little Bit Closer, and Make Up Your Mind, and added in strong covers of We’ll Burn That Bridge When We Get There and Driving My Life Away.

Brandon Jones started the night with songs about his home in South Dakota and his life, warming them up with a set of original songs that included 14 x 80, Into My Arms, Kiss Me All Night, Forever Yours, Picture, and Black Hills Back Road.

Jones was supported on stage by Cody Koistinen on guitar, Josh Lehman on bass, and Mike Grosek on drums. Find out more at brandonjonesband.com.
