Evan Honer's good vibes in Milwaukee on 3.21.25

Evan Honer took a full-house crowd on an emotive journey on March 21, 2025 at the Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee.  Maybe you have already heard his viral-hit rendition of Tyler Childers’ Jersey Giant.  It earned RIAA gold certification, surpassing 120 million streams on Spotify and 250+ million across all streaming platforms. If you are a fan of Tyler Childers, Sierra Ferrell, or Noah Kahan, you’re gonna want to check out the musical magic of Evan Honer and his upcoming tour dates.

Honer’s first few moments on stage were explosive with a perfect flip from the shadows onto the stage during the opening track, “Everything I Wanted.” The song showcases Honer’s signature lyricism while introducing a shift in his sound to a heavier, electric-driven style.

His newest single, “Place I Hate,” was released on March 21st, the same day as the Milwaukee concert. Honer introduced the song by revealing that his recent life of constant touring inspired the song. The lyrics serve a dose of duality with equal parts introspection and expansion.  Honer shared, “I moved from Arizona to Nashville, and for the most part it’s been great but I miss a lot of things: my family, my dog, and my friends. I think writing this song also helped me realize that no matter how big this gets, I’m always gonna miss the simple things.”

Evan Honer had a prolific 2024, releasing his album Fighting For in June, followed by two EPs, Different Life and Annabelle.  Honer has proved wise beyond his years as a songwriter and established himself as one of the leading forces on the next generation’s up and coming songwriter scene.

Show highlights included:

  • A crowd sing-along to Honer’s cover of “Linger” by Cranberries.
  • Impressive back bend tricks by Honer and his lead guitarist while both continued to play their respective guitars.
  • A presumed member of the crowd named Jenna joining Honer on the stage for a beautiful duet of “Waiting Ain’t Easy.”
  • The frontman’s flips were terrific on the historic stage.  He also seemed to levitate to all corners of the stage with a heart full of gratitude.
  • The crowd admired that Honer doesn’t know shit about cars.

The tour features some of his biggest headline shows to date.  All dates are listed below (with more to be confirmed).  Tickets are available here.
