INDIE FOLK TRIO OLIVER HAZARD RELEASES
RAINDROP RIVER EP
FULL OF HARMONICALLY RICH SING-ALONGS
Oliver Hazard’s latest EP Raindrop River showcases the indie-folk trio’s ability to craft emotive, harmonically rich sing-alongs. Produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Zach Bryan), the release delivers an authentic simplicity, exemplifying the band’s signature, unpretentious style. Listen HERE.
“I always think back to something Devin once said,” singer and guitarist Mike Belazis recalls. “People ask us about the deep meaning in our songs. He was like, ‘We’re writing about very simple concepts.’ That hits the nail on the head: We want our music to be this looking glass into our small town.”
While some musicians are scheming to go viral, Oliver Hazard – Mike Belazis (frontman, guitars), Devin East (guitars) and Nate Miner (keys) – have been thriving the old-fashioned way: squeezing into a van, traversing a tangle of Interstates, and winning over fans one city at a time. At the start of their career, the band created a Living Room Tour, where one fan would host the band and invite over some friends. Since then, Oliver Hazard has headlined their own national tour, created the Oliver Hazard Day festival in their hometown of Waterville, OH, played Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and amassed nearly 850K Spotify monthly listeners. Thus far, the group has released a pair of albums (34 N. River, Oliver Hazard) and two EPs (The Flood, Northern Lights). With the new EP, Raindrop River, Oliver Hazard continues to showcase their unrelenting charm.
