Ocie Elliott is the talented musical duo of Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy from Victoria, B.C., Canada. The two met in a cafe which led to a musical and life collaboration. Their song “Run To You” was featured on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy and they were nominated for the Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards. They have cultivated a fast-growing following by releasing a captivating series of live acoustic videos on Facebook recorded in the cozy confines of the couple’s Honda CR-V. The clever approach paid off, with a million streams of their most popular tracks on Spotify and Apple Music, as well as sold-out shows on their current tour as well as past tours.
On October 12, 2024 they performed for a full house at the Boulder Theater. Judging by the murmurs of admiration after their opening song and the crowds enthusiasm throughout the night, Ocie Elliott displayed a deep connection with the audience. The music powerfully transports me into a deep state of blissful calm and it seemed to have the same effect on the crowd.
With gentle acoustic chords layered over gorgeously complementary voices, they intertwine harmonies so uniquely captivating that you feel as if the serenade is just for you. The lyrics are pure poetry. I highly recommend you experience the magic of a live Ocie Elliott performance.
The merch table offerings are just as lovely as the band. I have purchased several candles to gift to friends and a few to keep on my desk. “Forest Floor” is one of my favorite songs and the scent is divine.
