The Beautiful Letdown was the fourth studio album released in February 2003 by Switchfoot, the Grammy-winning alternative rock band from San Diego, California.  All songs on the album were written either in part or entirely by lead singer Jon Foreman.

In May of 2023, Switchfoot released The Beautiful Letdown (Our Version), a re-recorded version of the album in celebration of its 20th anniversary.  It is a beautiful and timeless work of art.  A deluxe edition was also released in 2023 celebrating collaboration.  Artists featured on the deluxe edition include:  Relient K, Owl City, Ryan Tedder, Jonas Brothers and Tyler Joseph to name a few.  One Republic’s Ryan Tedder is on the popular track “Dare You to Move” and the harmonies are heavenly.

The Beautiful Letdown tour is underway and made a stop in Milwaukee, WI on 10.8.2024 at The Rave.  The full tour schedule is provided below.

Frontman Jon Foreman brought all his musicality and vocal range to the stage.  His audience connection is legendary.  By the second song he left the stage to serenade all corners of the venue.  He captivated the crowd with sing-alongs and stories.

Tim Foreman, on bass, connected with the audience throughout the night with jump kicks and bass twirls. His energy is infectious.  Chad Butler’s drumming was perfection, maintaining an unbroken rhythm all night.
Jerome Fontamillas on keys / guitar / electronics
Early in the set they played, “This is Your Life.”  The song resonates with its iconic bass riff and powerful lyrics.  The chorus poses a question we all grapple with: “This is your life, are you who you want to be?”  Stream the song and immerse in the thoughtful lyrics.
