The whiskey poured at The Grizzly Rose on Friday night as Ernest brought his Legalize Country Music Roadshow to Denver. The Nashville singer and songwriter fed his fans songs such as Smokin’ Gun, Kiss of Death, and Tennessee Queen.

Supported by Jordan Merrigan on lead guitar, Jud Harris on drums, Joe Compton on pedal steel guitar and guitar, and Christian Stolz on fiddle and bass, Ernest paid tribute to Toby Keith with Who’s Your Daddy. He dropped names Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and Morgan Wallen, as the crowd kept howlin’ at the moon with other songs such as Hangin’ On, Flower Shops, and I Went to College/I Went to Jail. Brandon Jones Band started the night with songs about Jones’ home in South Dakota and his life, warming the electrified crowd up with a set of original songs that included 14 x 80, Party, Into My Arms, Kiss Me All Night, Forever Yours, Picture, Change My Love, and Black Hills Back Road, and rocking covers of Freight Train, How Country Feels, Something’s Gonna Kill Me, Dead Man’s Curve, and Cocaine Country Dancing.
