Cody Canada & The Departed played at the Moxi Theater in Greeley on Thursday night.
Cody Canada & The Departed, an Americana Roots-Rock band, based in New Braunfels, Texas, had frontman Cody Canada on guitar, bassist Jeremy Plato, and drummer Eric Hansen on stage.
Playing through their rich Red Dirt history Cody Canada & The Departed had the crowd singing along with Lonely Girl, and other songs that helped build Canada’s popularity, such as Dimebag, Fighting For, Hammer Down, Anywhere But Here, Alabama, and Level Land. Plato kept the positive vibes going with Find My Love and Soul Agent. Special guest guitarist and merch manager Peyton Glasco also joined the stage for several songs.
Another song they sang was Too Far Gone.
Cody Canada & The Departed ended their set with Boys from Oklahoma and returned with 42 Miles, Sister, and Rockin’ in the Free World for the encore.

Opening the night was Denver Country-rockers Ryan Chrys & The Roughcuts. Led by Ryan Chrys on guitar and vocals, the band powered and partied through songs such as This Far Along, Fastback, and Tearin’ It Up. Ryan Chrys & The Roughcuts had Michael Jochum on drums, Susan Phelan on bass and vocals, Maria Covet on vocals, and Glenn Taylor on pedal steel.
