Joe Nichols returned to the World Famous Grizzly Rose Country Club on Friday night.

Honors were given to Joe Nichols as he has been putting out majors since the early 2000s. It was a shotgun start as he sang hits such as The Impossible, She Only Smokes When She Drinks, Brokenheartsville, What’s a Guy Gotta Do, and Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off. The front-row gallery gave Nichols massive support, singing along with the country crooner. Nichols also teased listeners about new music that will be coming out June 28, as well as a full-length album due to be released this fall. Find the full setlist in the photos below.

Nichols was supported on stage by David Northrup on drums, Michael Jeffers on bass, Sam August on guitar, Brian Spradlin on acoustic guitar, Travis Mobley on keys, and Conway Turley on pedal steel, guitar, and vocals.

Nathan Dean & The Damn Band from Phoenix, Arizona, were dropping lawn darts and playing a wide, driving range of tunes, as their powerful energy and capitalizing on their good lies were contagious. Nathan Dean & The Damn Band teed off with Son of a Gun as their opening round incorporated good-timin’ covers and in-play drinking songs. NDATDB kept things above the hole with a selection of 90’s Country such as As Good As I Once Was, Chattahoochee, Dust on the Bottle, Should’ve Been a Cowboy, and My Maria.

NDATDB’s approach included the classic Fishin’ in the Dark, as they hit the sweet spot with newer tunes such as Beautiful Things and Oklahoma Smokeshow. Provisional songs included Hippies and Cowboys and Cover Me Up. NDATDB also played pin-high original tunes. Those aces included Son of a Gun, Cheap Liquor, One More Bender, and That’s My Kind of Bar.

Big Dog Nathan Dean drove the fairway on guitar and vocals and was supported by Straight Shooter Bill Bogan who bumped and ran on drums and backing vocals, Irons Man Jason Judd who laid up on guitar and vocals, and Plus Player Chris Duke who chipped it in on bass.

That’s my kind of par. That’s my kind of party.
