Texas Country Singer/Songwriter Wade Bowen from Waco, TX, returned to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Playing a hefty helping of songs from Flyin which was released a week ago, Bowen engaged fans with new songs Flyin, Mary Jane, Rainin’ on Me, Nothin’ But Texas, and Hidin’ Behind this Microphone.

Bowen was supported by Nicholas Gardner on guitar, Caleb Jones on bass, and Sean Sanke on drums. Bowen and his band kept the Red Dirt rolling with Phones Don’t Work, Saturday Night, ‘Til It Does, Who I Am, West Texas Rain, Songs About Trucks, and more songs to fill the 2-hour set. Nashville-based Brooke Lee made a bunch of new fans in Colorado during her set. Songs included Wilder Days, Praying in Bars, Crazy Girl, If I Was Rich, Head in the Clouds, I’ve Been Thinking, and Match Made in Hell. Lee also crushed a cover of I’m the Only One. Find her complete setlist below.

Supporting Lee on stage was Chris Taylor on guitar, Tom Lafferty on drums, and Ryan Robertson on bass. Lee will be playing with Willie Nelson and Friends next week in Minnesota.

Cam Wheaton and his band from Trenton, FL, kicked the night off with a rocking set to get the early birds movin’ and groovin’ with songs such as In the Distance, Roses & Thorns, Young Love, Hunger Strike, Old Freight Trains, and solid covers of Stay a Little Longer and Whipping Post.

The Cam Wheaton Band had Cam Wheaton on guitar and vocals, Trevon White on guitar, Logan Fischer on drums, Sawyer Swihard on slide guitar, and Jordan Crawford on bass.
