With a rich history, 90s country super group Ricochet brought their recognizable melodies and harmonies back to The Grizzly Rose on Friday night. Inducted last month into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Ricochet showed why they are considered “The Hardest Working Band in Country Music”. They spent the previous night in Grand Junction before the show in Denver. Ricochet showed that They Still Got It and enjoyed being in Colorado, even toasting fans with a cold Coors beer.
Ricochet had Heath Wright on lead vocals and lead guitar, Chris Hempfling on drums and vocals, Larry Hight on steel guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, and vocals, and Bruce Bennett on bass and vocals. Ricochet performed their hits that included Ease My Trouble Mind, What Do I Know, Blink of an Eye, Love is Stronger Than Pride, He Left a Lot to be Desired, and of course, Daddy’s Money. They also showcased their solid cover of Seven Bridges Road.

Lendon James and his band out of Loveland, Colorado, started the show with a little something for everyone with cowboy music, honky tonk sounds, and 90’s country.

James started the set with That Girl, and kept the party going with Fireman, Guitars & Cadillacs, and performed 90’s anthems such as Should’ve Been a Cowboy, Right Where I Need to Be, Seminole Wind, Brand New Man, Little Sister, and Much Too Young. James also rocked the stage with Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Cadillac Cowboy, and 8-Second Ride, with a Metallica intro. James also slipped in an original tune, Crazy. James ended his set with a rocking rendition of Fast as You. James was supported by Ben Sand on bass, Jeff Mere on guitar, Curt Adams on fiddle, and Perry Senn on drums.
