Out of Birmingham, AL, Slamabama returned to The Grizzly Rose as Friday night headliners, bringing their Shania/Swift show to the stage. Bringing two of the most iconic female superstars in country & pop music history and adding in an opening set of hits of Eric Church, Slamabama had the rambunctious crowd singing along all night. Slamabama had Rosanna Juliano on vocals, Jay Juliano on guitar and vocals, Dennis Gilpatrick on bass and vocals, and Alec Garcia on drums.
Jay took the reigns for the Epic Church set, as the band started with Creepin’ and went right into Hell of a View. And it was a hell of a view as fans made their way to the front of the stage for the impending party that was about to take place. During Keep On, Slamabama added a bit of Fancy, to give the growing crowd a sampling of Rosanna’s vocals. They also sang Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American) as a tribute to Toby Keith. And of course, they played Drink in My Hand and finished the set with Springsteen.
After a short break, the band and the energy stayed the same, as Rosanna took control with a heaping helping of popular Shania Twain songs mixed in with tasty Taylor Swift tunes. Starting with Twain’s Any Man of Mine, the band set the tone for the rest of the night. Swifties didn’t have to wait long as the next songs were You Belong With Me and Love Story. Other Twain songs included Honey I’m Home, That Don’t Impress Me Much, Party for 2, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, Still the One, You Win My Love, Man I Feel Like a Woman, and I’m Outta Here. It was a wild party as younger attendees survived the wait for the Swift songs that also included 22, Style, Cruel Summer, Lover, Calm Down, Anti-Hero, Our Song, Trouble, Tim McGraw, All Too Well, We Are Never Getting Back Together, and Shake it Off. Find the setlists below. Slamabama crushed the night and made new fans in Denver. Slamabama will be back in April.
