Well, it’s Groundhog Day. Again. And that brought Athens, Georgia, woodchuck-chucker Colt Ford back to The Grizzly Rose. Watch out for that first song. It’s a doozy! Ford started his show with Every Chance I Get and went right into Answer to No One. Bing. The next angle of attack for the country rapper was Mr. Goodtime and Ford hit the impact point with In America, draped in the American flag.

The enthused spectators were into the music and the good time. Bing. Other songs included Dirty Side, Chicken and Biscuits, Dirt Road Anthem, and Country as Truck. Find the full setlist in the photos below. Colt Ford was supported by Kyle Pudenz on fiddle, Nick Velordi on bass, Tim Haines on drums, and Dylan Maloney on guitar.

Opening for Ford was Dusty Leigh. Out of Louisville, Kentucky, Leigh shared his hip-hop, rhythm and country style. Leigh doesn’t drive on the railroad track, but makes his own path. Cranking out songs such Runaway Train, Show Me, Whiskey, No Phucks, and Good Vibes Only, Leigh and his drummer showed listeners a good time. At one point, Leigh even invited lady dancers up to the stage to show their whistling belly-button trick for his song American Made. Bing again.

Opening up the night was Denver’s own Woodland Park. Featuring Paul Kakac on guitar, Mike Elick on guitar and vocals, Angela Hawkins on vocals, Chris Demott on bass, and Drew Cullis on drums, Woodland Park gave listeners a ride. Woodland Park mixed in original tunes I Want You, I Take it All Back, Fireball, Whiskey and the Pain, Long Hot Saturday, and Country Girl Swing, with country and rock covers of songs such as Come Together, She’s Country, Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy), Country Girl Shake it for Me, Fancy Like, Copperhead Road, much to the approval of all the line dancers. They also added Sweet Home Alabama and Running Down a Dream.

Woodland Park just released their second album, This Circle.
