On Friday night, Travis Denning from Warner Robins, GA, returned to the World Famous Grizzly Rose. Slinging his Redneck County, Denning started his set with Red Round Here from his newest release, Might As Well Be Me (2022). Denning kept the party going with Call It Country, Dirt Road Down, River Named Mississippi, and Tank of Gas, before adding in covers of White House Road and Dust on the Bottle.
Supported by Matthew Davidson on guitar, Aaron Latrobe on drums, and Chas Covington on bass, Denning showed his gumption with songs about dirt roads, trucks, and drinkin’. He and the band also tore up the stage with a ’90s medley of female-fronted songs. And of course, he included Buy a Girl a Drink, After a Few, and ABBY. See the full setlist in the photos below.

South Carolina native and Nashville recording artist Carter Lybrand started the night off with his Southern style. After including his band on original songs that included Hole in the Wall, She Always Wins, I’ll Be Right Here, In My Arms Tonight, and She Hates Horses, Lybrand captured the crowd’s attention with his acoustic songs, Novocain and Perfect for Me.
Lybrand played good country songs about life. He also showed appreciation to all of the military members in the packed venue, adding in that the list also included himself and his bandmates. Lybrand and his band that included David Franko on bass, Matthew Capdevila on lead guitar, and Steve Osborne on drums, cranked up more tunes such as Creepin’ Up On Me, Time For That, All Your Fault, Two Stepped Out the Door. Check out his video for It’s Gonna Take Neon.
