The owners of Maddie’s Biergarten and their non-profit organization, Maddipalooza(maddiepalooza.com), are proud to announce the lineup for MADDIEPALOOZA V (Castle Rock downtown, August 11th, 2018, 3-10 PM – FREE – Net proceeds from beer sales and donations benefits veterans’ organizations: Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation, Veteran Expeditions, and Fallen Heroes Honored. Headlining act SLIM CESSNA’S AUTO CLUB is one of Colorado’s most in demand and unique bands and are recognized as one of the pioneering bands who invented the “Denver Sound” (a sonic amalgamation of country & western, rock, gospel and psychedelic). The “Denver Sound” found root in Northern Europe where the band still tours heavily. Slim Cessna’s Auto Club comes to Maddiepalooza fresh off an international tour supporting Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats (as well as performing at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals). Their latest record “The Commandments According to SSAC” was heralded by press across the USA and throughout the globe.
One of the states hottest bands is also one of its newest… WILDERMISS has taken Colorado by storm and they have already been featured on late night TV performing their breakthrough single “Carry Your Heart” (Last Call with Carson Daly) recorded from a recent concert in San Francisco. Carry Your Heart is also in regular rotation on Alt-Rock juggernaut KTCL and has over 265,000 plays on Spotify. The bands rapid-fire success is easy to understand as their popmelodies become immediately familiar to listeners, and their energetic live performances dare audiences not to dance. Wildermiss is performing throughout Colorado in Summer 2018 playing festivals before releasing new music this Fall and going on tour nationally.
ONE FLEW WEST has become the go-to pop-rock band that everyone can agree on. Their infectious radio-rock has been featured in Alternative Press, idobi Radio, and New Noise Magazine as well as added to Spotify-curated playlists The Scene and Pop Punk’s Not Dead (among many others). After a recent performance opening for legendary punk icons The Descendents, One Flew West was selected to perform at the WARPED TOUR stop this summer in Denver. Their high energy live shows and addictive pop hooks have earned the band their recent notoriety of not only being the next band that will break out of Colorado, but as an band that already in the midst of breaking…
RL COLE & THE HELL YOU SAY is the perhaps the rawest and grittiest band in the state, churning out its unique blues, rock and gritty-soul sound. Reminiscent of another time, RL Cole’s songs take listeners back to a time when moonshine might be shared in a boxcar between dust-bowl era poets – his soul-bearing blues-man vocals give the group a fun and mysterious allure. Cole’s backing group The Hell You Say is an all-star lineup featuring veterans of some of Colorado’s best bands (Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, A Tom Collins). Colorado Public radio recently called the band a “Must See” for the lauded UMS Festival (Summer 2018) and his music can be heard regularly on Colorado’s OpenAir radio.
Los Angeles alternative rock veterans TRAPDOOR SOCIAL return to Maddiepalooza for the third time to entertain attendees who have become accustomed to their high-energy rock show. Fans have flocked to the bands shows and online where they have amassed nearly half a million views of their videos on YouTube. The band is touring all summer with coast to coast appearances as far away as New York.

MADDIE’S BIERGARTEN & MADDIEPALOOZA:
In the Summer of 2013 Maddie’s Biergarten opened in downtown Castle Rock with the goal of creating a community gathering place where family and friends would come together. Maddie’s Biergarten was an immediate success due to the support of the Castle Rock community and they wanted to make sure that they were giving back. Maddiepalooza, an event showcasing local musicians and Colorado craft beers, was created in 2014 to bring the community into downtown Castle Rock where they could enjoy great music, local beers, and contribute to a local charity. In 2016, Maddiepalooza, Inc was created as a non-profit (501C) organization with the continued goal of raising money for many of the non-profit organizations throughout Douglas County. Annually – in August – Maddiepalooza brings thousands of people to downtown Castle Rock. Maddiepalooza is sponsored primarily by Colorado craft breweries and is a day filled with live music, family activities, and food trucks to raise money for deserving organizations.
