Emerging indie rock, singer-songwriter, Taylor Phelan is proud to announce his debut EP, 1 of 2, to be released August 2017. Today, Phelan unveils his brand new single, “Settle Down.”

Phelan says, “‘Settle Down’ is so timely for where we’re at right now culturally. There’s so much tension in the world, and for good reason. But in the middle of everyone’s fear, we’re forgetting that it’s another person on the other side of the argument. This song is a reminder to try and see things from someone else’s point of view.”

Phelan is a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist who works within multiple genres. He was raised within a tight-knit musical family in his home state of Texas and began to play guitar and write his own songs at 16, cutting his teeth performing at coffee shops. He started his professional career as the founder and frontman for the Chicago-based alternative band, The Canes.

In 2014, Phelan was a favorite contestant on the seventh season of NBC’s hit reality series, The Voice, an experience that revealed his tremendous talent as a solo artist.

In 2015, shortly after signing with the indie label, Native Nine Records, Phelan teamed up with Nashville-based producer Joshua D. Niles  (COIN, Matt Hires, The Kicks), to work on 1 of 2, his first collection of solo material. The collection establishes Phelan’s signature sound – a combination of electronic elements with rootsy, alt/indie rock.  His ardent vocals are the thread that holds the EP together and puts it above and beyond those of his peers.

In support of his new EP, Phelan will be hitting the road the end of this month and heading all around the U.S.  See dates below…
