BTS arrived in New York City on March 22, 2017 for the beginning of their sold-out five show run in the US. The first shows are tonight and tomorrow at New Jersey’s popular Prudential Center. The band visited the Billboard offices, Music Choice and iHeart Radio with fans following them.
At the offices of Billboard, a gaggle of about 150 fans waited for them to arrive for their Facebook Live session which broke the record for views for Billboard. At almost 18,000 concurrent views live, it broke previous records for the magazine. Views are now at almost 500,000 for the taped piece. In addition, their interview with iHeart which was revealed via Facebook last evening, has already garnered over 615,000 views.
Their popularity crashed the site, Ones to Watch when their feature story on BTS ran on Tuesday, March 21. Stories on the band can also be found at Teen Vogue, Billboard, XXL, and Idolator to name a few.
Currently, BTS videos “Not Today” and “Spring Day” have are enjoying combined views of
111 Million with the Rap Monster/W A L E collaboration “Change” up to 3 Million after just four days.
BTS will be in the US until April 2 after their shows in LA. They are making pop music history with their record breaking chart numbers having debuted on the Billboard HOT 200 with songs sung entirely in Korean.
Band will be back in the US in late 2018.
