After suffering from a rare disease at a young age, and being hospitalized innumerable times over a span of two years, 21-year-old Danny McCook embraced his forced isolation to sketch the ideas that would eventually become the sonic cornerstone and vision for his moniker Saint Mesa and his spiritual debut EP, JungleĀ (out now on Interscope). Thankfully now healthy, Saint Mesa‘s EP is fueled by lyrics of hardship, yet personal triumph, beautifully mixed with uplifting melodies and choir-like vocals that help define the songs’ dream-pop atmosphere.

The Southern Californian, fashion-forward, and self-taught musician has been making waves early on within his career with licensing syncs with such brands as Wayfair, Puma, H+M, and Electronic Arts, while his EP title track “Jungle” has garnered over 1+ million streams on Spotify and landed TOP 10 on Spotify‘s Viral Chart and TOP 10 on Hype Machine‘s Popular Chart. The music video for “Jungle,” was directed by 18-year-old creative director, and Saint Mesa‘s brother, Isaac McCook.

Fans of Saint Mesa can catch him performing at BottleRock in Napa Valley, CA on Saturday, May 27th and at Sasquatch Music Festival on May 28th in Quincy, WA.
